Walk & Talk

Walk & talk therapy is similar to traditional talk therapy, but in an outdoor setting. We will utilize a walking trail or hiking path to conduct our session. The client will set the pace while on the trail and through discussion.

Telehealth

Telehealth, also known as online counseling, can occur at your home, office or other location, so long as you, the client are located in Washington State at the time of the online counseling session.

Testimonials

“Our first Walk & Talk session was even better than I had expected. Being outside, and
breathing the fresh, forest air was very cathartic, invigorating and relaxing. I was comfortable
sharing with Michelle the sources of my anxiety and sadness. Right away, I felt such a sense of relief. It was really uplifting to my spirits.” – Anonymous

“Michelle listened to me and asked questions, so she thoroughly understood my concerns. She
gave me good advice on how not to feel so hopeless and also strategies on how to cope, interact
with others who might be causing my stress and how to respond to unpleasant situations. Right
away I started feeling happier, calmer and more self-confident. Between sessions I like to
ponder her guiding words when I am walking by myself. I realize that I am smiling more easily.
I am so fortunate to have Michelle as a guiding resource in helping me both mentally and
physically.” – F. Moss

“There’s so much pressure on us in emergency services to keep it together, to never show
vulnerability. I had a hard time dealing with the stress of my job and the constant trauma I
witnessed. The thought of sitting in a therapist’s office felt overwhelming at first. But walk-and-
talk therapy gave me an option to get moving and still engage in real conversations. It wasn’t
just about talking; it was about finding ways to move forward and process the things we see. The
therapy was more accessible, and I felt like I was healing while doing something that aligned
with the active nature of my work.” – Anonymous

“I spend my days on the phone with people in crisis, and the emotional weight can really pile up.
It wasn’t until I started walk-and-talk therapy that I realized how much of that I had been
internalizing. The best part of walk-and-talk for me was the movement; it gave me an outlet for
some of the anxious energy I didn’t know I had. It made it easier to let my guard down and talk
freely about the things I didn’t think I could share. Therapy became something I looked forward
to because it felt more natural than sitting in a room, especially when you’re used to being on the
go all day.” – P.W.
