My Approach to Therapy
Our Work is a Collaboration
My approach to therapy is holistic in nature. I am passionate about treating and helping the whole person through establishing a warm, positive and empathetic therapeutic relationship. I view counseling as a collaborative effort in helping clients recognize their strengths, identify needs, understand conflicts, discover new options, set personal development goals, and make informed choices that are congruent with the client’s values.
Together we can Achieve Healing
I incorporate a person centered, strength based approach with a cognitive behavioral theoretical orientation while holding positive regard for all clients. After fifteen years of working with individuals in the criminal justice system, my focus with clients hinges on the concept that people are more than their past trauma and unhealed emotional wounds. I believe people have the ability and resilience to overcome and work through life’s challenges to find fulfillment.

Behind the Scenes
I love being a therapist and I take your story seriously. I also love to laugh and play.
It’s courageous to reach out for help, so when you do find your person I believe it’s also important to know they are also human. I am not a robot, and here you will find just how goofy I can get.
Fun fact: Did you know laughter has great side effects? In the short term it can relieve stress, increase oxygen levels and endorphins and long term it can strengthen your immune system, improve your mood AND even relieve pain!
